As part of College One students, interested in developing their practice into public workshops, had the opportunity to explore Manchester Art Gallery with Emma, gallery educator, and Michiko, gallery artist.

Alongside exploring with Emma and Michiko students also undertook their own self-directed exploration of the Joana Vasconcelos exhibition, considering textures found in objects around the gallery. This exploration sparked discussions about appropriate methods of teaching different audiences, from primary school children to adults, and how these methods might apply to students’ work.
